Does Safelist Marketing Work?

Does Safelist Marketing work? That is a good question to ask, especially if you're trying to find new leads for your business. The short answer to this question is Yes. The long answer requires a little more of an explanation.

Many people just starting out, with an online business, sooner or later discover safelist marketing. This is what happened to me and no doubt has happened with you. I can honesty say, from personal experience, that saflelist marketing does work.

I can also confidently tell you that safelist marketing will work for you as well. However, it will only work for you if you know what you're doing. A common complaint I see being thrown around in forums and social media sites, is that "safelist marketing just doesn't work." Or "safelists only deliver junk traffic." Really?! Then how come I'm getting subscribers everyday from safelists? How come I'm building my business almost exclusively from safelist mailers?

The answer to that question is simple. The people making these negative statements don't know what they're doing! I'm sorry, but this is simply the truth about the matter. So, if you're going to use safelist marketing to find new leads for your business, you'd better learn how to do it right.

The rest of this post is dedicated to revealing exactly what you need to be doing to make safelist marketing work for you. The first thing you need to understand about safelist marketing is there are only a few types products/services that do well, and there are a whole lot more that don't do well at all.

For example, promoting an ebook on how to grow roses is not going to do well in a safelist. Safelist members are interested in only two things. 1) Building their business,  2) Getting more traffic and leads, which = more money.

The first key to getting it right with safelist marketing is understanding the people who are using them.  Many safelelist members are newbies to online marking,  and they're usually very excited about the possibility of making a lot of money online.

The problem is, these people don't know what they're doing and they'll become discouraged rather quickly when they don't get the results they were expecting. This is where you and I come into the picture. Our job is to offer a solution to help these newbies build successful businesses.

For example, I promote a simple recruiting solution and I get new leads everyday because I'm helping to solve one of the most common problems, a lack of new referrals. Those who follow our recruiting blueprint go onto build awesome businesses. Other marketers promote advertising packages which help people solve their traffic problems, and they're making a lot of money doing this!

Must Have Marketing Tools

People who are successful are successful for a reason, they copy what successful people are doing. Successful safelist marketers use certain 'must have' marketing tools to acquire new leads daily and consistently. These tools are:

1) AutoResponders
An autoresponder is basically a system that captures interested prospects and puts them onto a list for  future follow-up and marketing purposes. Autoresponders can be programmed to send out as many automated emails as needed. 

The process is simple: Once the prospect has subscribed through a lead capture page, the autoresponder then goes to work 'drip feeding' that prospect with whatever the owner of the list is promoting. This 'drip feeding' is accomplished through a series of emails sent over a period of time.

For example, one of my autoresponder campaigns is programmed to send a series of emails for around six months. During this time some of my subscribers will sign-up to my business opportunity, while others will not. However, those who don't sign up to my biz opp may be interested in other programs and products that I will offer from time to time. Either way my subscribers will benefit and I'll make money.
2) Lead capture pages
A lead capture page is literally a one page website that is designed to capture prospects to be put on an email list. These pages will usually consist of a strong offer or benefit of some kind. Anyone interested in that offer simply enters their details (usually their name and email), clicks the subscribe button and the autoresponder does the rest. How To Get The Best Results From Safelist Marketing

Assuming you have an autoresponder and a lead capture page set up properly, do the following.

1) Offer: Be sure to offer something that is going to help safelist marketers to achieve their respective objectives. For example, systems that are going to help them get more traffic, and recruit more referrals.

For example, I offer a system to help people recruit more referrals into their down-lines. I'm actually offering this system as a network marketing business opportunity, and it sells well. One of the lead capture pages I'm currently using to promote my offer is in the link above.

Note: Business opportunities are also good to market in safelists, however, they must stand out just a bit more than the average biz opp being advertised. By 'stand out,' I mean that they have an outstanding offer that's hard to beat, and you're using a lead capture that's your own, not the company's general promotion page.

2) Take massive action: It's no good sending only a couple of thousand emails once in a while, you've got to send way more. At present, I'm sending around 270,000 emails per day. Now to some that may seem like a lot, but if you're up-graded in some good safelists it's not so hard to do. The truth is, at some point you've got to consider investing some cold hard cash into your business, if you're serious about it.

3) Stay consistent: Once you start your safelist emailing campaigns don't ever back off. What you've got to remember is that most safelist members are logging-in regularly to earn their credits so they can send their own emails. If these people keep seeing your lead capture page every time they log-in,  they're going start getting used to seeing you around.

After a couple of months these people are going to realize that you're here to stay, and they're going to become curious as to why you're still around. You see, the thing with safelist marketing is people come and go all the time. One minute Mr Joe Marketer is touting the best biz opp on the net, the next minute he's gone, why?

Usually, it's because after sending out emails for a week or two and seeing no results, he concludes that this 'safelist marketing stuff' doesn't work; but he gave up to soon; he didn't stay consistent. However, it does not always end there for Mr Joe Marketer, he'll most likely be back for another round touting yet another 'amazing biz opp.'

When he does come back guess who he's going to see if you've remained consistent? I trust you know the answer that question. This Mr Joe Marketer will be pretty curious about you because you're still around and you're still promoting the same biz opp or biz opp helping system.

Consistency is a crucial key for safelist marketing work for you. You can not be haphazard in your approach to safelist marketing. If you plan to only email when you get the time, or when you feel like it, for get it! Don't even bother getting started, you'll just be wasting your time.

Once you do start with safelist marking, give it at least six to eight weeks of taking consistent massive action to start seeing good results. Now you may get some subscribers and even a sign-up or two in your first week, but don't make the mistake of thinking that that is going to be the norm because it probably won't be.


Does safelist marketing work? Yes it does, but only if you're marketing the right product/service, you're taking massive action, and you remain consistent. Note: The principles in the post can just as easily be applied to Traffic Exchange marking, but that is subject matter for another post.
